Workshop "Establishment of a circular business model in e-waste management"
In March, fourth-year students of the Secondary School of Technical Professions in the Šiška Department of Mechatronics conducted a workshop with a challenge.
The participants were introduced to the concept of the circular economy, the field of electrical and electronic equipment management, the operation of ZEOS and the challenges facing ZEOS in introducing the principles of circular economy in business.
Students would be faced with the following challenge: What could be made or used from waste electrical and electronic appliances or their components?
Using the “brainstorming” method, students sought solutions to the challenge.
They generated 25 ideas to solve the challenge. Some ideas: sucker hose => hamster climbing hose; drum from the washing machine => grill; oven clock => alarm clock. And more below in the picture.
Then, from all the ideas, the students chose the ones that have the greatest potential for successful implementation and used them to create business models using the "Business Model Canvas" method.
Business models were built in 7 groups. Due to limited time, the workshop could not be completed. They will be completed as part of regular entrepreneurship classes with the help of mentor prof. Mete Jurca Sinkovič.
