New reuse corners on CC Postojna and CC Pivka

The Postojna Collection Center and the Pivka Collection Center are richer each for their own corner for reuse. The corners are intended for everyone who still has a working appliance at home and no longer needs it and would like to extend its life.

Director of PUBLIKUS d.o.o. Igor Petek added: “Waste prevention and reuse are priority activities in waste management. Together with our partners, we were happy to offer our citizens the opportunity to collect still usable waste electrical and electronic equipment. In the future, we want to go one step further and offer a similar opportunity together with local partners in other types of still useful objects, and thus offer the collected to the local public. "

The official handover of both corners was also attended by both mayors, who welcomed the new infrastructure.

The mayor of Postojna, Igor Marentič, said that he supported such and similar issues in any case. "We are all aware that there is too much waste and that we are in an age of high consumption, when a lot of things are roaming the landfill, maybe still working or only minor repairs are needed. We hope that people will correctly recognize the purpose of the reusable corner and will not understand it only as an additional option to get rid of things they do not need. "

“I must say that I am very happy with this initiative! I would like all the still usable items that now end up in collection centers or landfills to find a way to reuse. Every such step, whether small or large, contributes to sparing our planet. Less raw materials used and less waste, as well as a satisfied user of the new old, but still usable device. I hope that our citizens will recognize this corner as useful and useful, and remember it when they want to get rid of a still working TV screen or even a computer, "said the mayor of Pivka Robert Smrdelj.

Both corners will be happy with various still working appliances for reuse. In the corner you can rent: washing machines, refrigerators, freezers, desktops and laptops, consumer electronics, small household appliances, toys, mobile phones, speakers, flat screen TV with remote control, LCD monitors, circular saws, drills, music towers, vacuum cleaners and other suitable electric or battery - operated appliances.

There are now 40 corners set up in Slovenia, but the company has not yet completed the installation. All their locations can be found on the online map at www.zeos.si, which has recently become a real online platform for the circular economy.
